Family holiday commitments made it impossible for me to catch any of this game, so this post will be pretty short and stats based. The Atlanta Thrashers scored on the power play in overtime to come away with a 4-3 win. The Canadiens blew a 2 goal lead and spent too much time in the penalty box. Andrei Kostitysyn continued his hot play scoring twice while Glen Metropolit added a single. Carey Price stopped 30 shots (and after watching the highlights made 3 "you have no business stopping that" saves) while Johan Hedberg turned aside 16 shots. As noted above, the Habs PK was tested again and finally gave up the overtime winner after killing 33 straight chances to that point. The power play scored on 1 of it's 4 chances. Other than that, not much to say. Laraque got into a tilt, as did Lapierre. NHL network provides some solid highlights, which is good.
As for the Silver Wolf Whiskey Hab of the Game, that honor for this game goes to Andrei Kostitsyn. Big Tits had a couple of goals, both pretty nice to be honest. No honorable mentions because I really don't know who else played well. Next up Monday at the Bell Centre against the Sabres.
