From all reports, this game will be filed under the "stolen" category. The Montreal Canadiens blew an early 2 goal lead but came away with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. I was unable to take the game in, but talked to some others who watched it. Jaroslav Halak was the difference stopping 47 Laffs shots as the Habs picked up their 4th straight win on the road. Jonas Gustavvson turned aside 20 shots in a losing effort. Andrei Kositsyn scored the winner just 34 seconds into extra time, while Tomas Plekanec and Scott Gomez got the other goals. The power play continued it's hot play going 1/2 while the penalty kill was perfect in killing 4 Laffs chances. As noted, because I didn't see the game this post will be very brief.
Nice to get a win no matter how it happened. Next up the Sens Monday night in another road game. The Silver Wolf Whiskey Hab of the Game goes to Jaroslav Halak tonight. Not much doubt about this one, had another huge performance while seeing a ton of rubber (insert hooker joke here). Honorable mentions go to Pleks and Gomez. That is all.....
